For this coming year’s meeting the focus will be on the Capacity of the WASH Sector. Since the 2014 MSF report "Where is Everyone" (link) and the 2017 Brussels WASH Meeting, this topic has continued grow in importance. It was accelerated during recent exchanges between the GWC, the Inter-Agency WASH Group and other key stakeholders about how we can collectively address some of the largest challenges facing our sector. The intended outcomes of this of this meeting is to have concrete and actionable recommendations at the end of 2 days which we will be presented to the Emergency Directors and donors to get their support.
For information, the 9th Emergency Environmental Health Forum will be held from the 18th (afternoon) to the 19th June (end of day). A separate registration process can be accessed here. On the 20th of June, Emergency Directors and Donors (including SAG members and the WASH interagency group) will meet to discuss the asks and recommendations identified during the GWC Partners Meeting - this meeting is by invitation only.
With this note therefore, the Global WASH Cluster (GWC) extends an invitation to all its members / WASH partners to attend the meeting.
